What are errors and how do they work?
Import errors can be frustrating – this list can help you find what went wrong.

When importing files, there are some common errors if the file can't import properly.
Means the file was empty or corrupted, and no supported entity types were found.
No profiles were found which were watertight. A watertight profile is one with a series of connected entities, forming a closed loop, and with any gaps between the entities' endpoints being smaller that the watertight threshold (defaults to 1/1000th of an inch)
No profiles were found with attached dimensions or measurements. Currently MtC requires profiles to be dimensioned to be considered for the catalog.
The only profiles detected were branched. A branched profile is one in which multiple entities connect to the same endpoint of a previous entity in the profile loop.
A catch all error for if something unexpected goes wrong during import of a file. Please contact us if you ever encounter an unknown error, send us the file which resulted in the error and your logs for that day (accessible from the bottom of the settings page) and we will attempt to resolve the error.
